Island Temporary Nursing (ITN) provides professional staff for a variety positions within the healthcare industry.

Home Care

While many people receive care from family, friends, and the community, ITN recognizes that these options are not always available and practical. In such cases, ITN can provide professional staff who specialize in services that cater to the client's needs in the most comfortable of settings, their home. ITN provides the following home care staff options:

Companion/Chore Aides

Companion services may include, but not limited to, conversing and reading to clients, medication reminders, and playing games. Chore services may include, but not limited to, meal preparation and light housekeeping (vacuuming, dusting, bathing, kitchen clean-up, bed making, linen changing, laundry, mopping and sweeping).

Skilled Care Aides

In addition to providing all services offered by a Companion/Chore Aide, Skilled Care Aides also assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), which may include but not limited to, bathing, personal grooming, dressing, range of motion exercises, toilet assistance, walking, taking vital signs, and helping with pre-poured medications.

Respite (Short-term) Care Aides

In cases when a primary caregiver is unavailable due to a planned temporary absence, unexpected illness, or emergency, ITN staff can provide short-term supportive care and supervision to a client.

Community Access Aides

Access to the community is a critical part of a person’s life as it brings independence, support, and happiness. Whether it be a trip to the movies, grocery store, doctor, or library, ITN staff can provide the expertise needed to safely guide clients outside their home without worry.

* Please note that all ITN Home Care Aides are not allowed to drive for clients.

Facility Care

Island Temporary Nursing recognizes the importance of maintaining appropriate staff-to-patient ratios in clinics, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities. ITN staff are carefully selected based on their skills, compassion, dependability, dedication, and experience. All ITN staff possess the required state licenses as applicable. ITN provides:
